OUR INITIATIVES

At the Cumberland / North Yarmouth Lions Club, we are committed to making a positive impact in our communities. Our projects are focused on improving the lives of local people in need. From providing free MSAD51 student sight screenings, to donating apple pies to  the Food Pantry, and providing scholarships to Greely graduates, we work tirelessly to make a difference. We invite you to explore our projects and join us in making a meaningful impact.

APPLE PIE FUNDRAISER

Every November, these delicious apple pies are homemade with locally grown apples. Proceeds directly benefit the Cumberland North Yarmouth Food Pantry, supporting local families in need. They're a treat to look forward to every year!

SIGHT & HEARING

The Maine Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation provides financial, material, social, and developmental assistance to those in need. The CNY Lions Club provides free vision screenings to MSAD51 students. We maintain several used eyewear collection boxes around town; drop off your usable eyewear and we will repurpose and donate them.

GREELY SCHOLARSHIPS

Since 1987, your donations and fundraiser participation has helped provide scholarship grants to graduating Greely High School students and Greely graduates continuing their education. The fund has awarded over $358,000 in grants to more than 200 Greely graduates. Contact us for more information.

GHS STUDENT RECOGNITION

We annually recognize Greely High seniors who, in the opinion of a committee of GHS staff members, represented themselves well in the areas of academics, school activities, and community involvement. Each month during our season our Student Service Award honors a Greely High School student who has exhibited a commitment to support their community and peers while pursuing their educational goals.
